Contact Your Legislators

CCPA’s Contact Your Legislator feature allows you to contact your legislators via email by following a few quick and easy prompts.

Simply search by town, select the recipients and type in your contact information. Then, you may write your own personalized message or use CCPA Talking Points, below. You will receive an electronic copy of your sent correspondence, and will be directed to the CCPA website home page once your email has been sent. Please note that there is no spell-check, so you may want to write your message in a word processing software and cut and paste it into the message box to make sure there are no errors.

Please tell your legislators:

Connecticut community providers serve hundreds of thousands of the state’s most vulnerable residents. Our work helps people with disabilities and other significant needs including children and adults with mental illness, substance use disorders, developmental and physical disabilities.

  1. As policy makers grapple with this historic fiscal crisis, COMMUNITY PROVIDERS ARE A KEY PART OF THE SOLUTION.
  2. However, budget rescissions and significant cuts proposed to community-based services means that people in need will not have access to efficient and effective services and instead will end up in more costly and higher levels of care such as hospital emergency rooms and the criminal justice system.
  3. The Governor’s cuts are a SHORT-TERM FIX WITH SIGNIFICANT LONG-TERM COSTS.

Our clients – your constituents – are at risk. We cannot provide expected levels of care if the system is constantly fighting for survival. Please do not allow these cuts to be implemented.

We hope you take advantage of this fantastic feature. Email your legislators today!
