Divisions & Forums

The CCPA Public Policy and Strategy (PPS) Division is a decision-making body comprised of Executive Directors or top administrators of each CCPA member agency. Together, CCPA staff and members develop association wide-public policy positions and strategies in response to the latest policy developments affecting community providers within the state. Our advocacy efforts focus on ensuring that providers’ funding needs are met, communicating providers’ concerns and perspectives at the state level, and advancing legislation and policy that allows providers to effectively address the health care needs of the communities they serve.

PPS Division members work with Patty McQueen of Communications Strategies on strategic media planning, media relations, crisis communications, and media production, among other related activities. Cain and Associates, LLC assists the Division in analyzing all public policy proposals and initiatives pertaining to the state budget, health and human services agency budgets and financial policies. These experts join CCPA’s governmental relations firm, Rome Smith & Lutz, to form a highly experienced and cohesive policy and strategic consulting team.
